Tamarack Resort is a four-season mountain resort that offers mountain biking, zip-line adventures, whitewater rafting, hiking trails and a private waterfront cabana. Tamarack is located on the west shore of Cascade Reservoir, southwest of Donnelly in Valley County, about 90 miles (145 km) north of Boise.

One of Idaho’s best downhill mountain bike parks, the Tamarack Bike Park gives riders with everything from smooth flow trails to jumps and expert terrain across our 1,700 vertical feet of lift-serviced trails.
Tamarack Zip Line Adventures – Idaho’s #1 Canopy Tour
The Tamarack Zipline Canopy Tour starts at 1,800′ above the valley floor and gives you a bird’s eye view of the surrounding peaks, forest, and Lake Cascade as you zip your way down the mountain. We give you the opportunity to fly by cable, in a tour full of adrenaline and adventure through Tamarack’s rugged mountain terrain.
Water Fun – Tamarack Rafting – White Water Rafting on the Payette River
Your Rafting Adventure awaits! Nothing says summer fun like whitewater rafting along one of the most beautiful stretches of rivers in Idaho. Cool off and enjoy some fun in the sun on one of the incredible day trips.
Water Fun – Kelly’s Whitewater Park – Cascade, Idaho
Kelly’s Whitewater Park has been recognized by many kayaking athletes as one of the premier whitewater parks in the country. Kelly’s is gaining in popularity with stand up paddle boarders and river surfers. In addition, tubers and canoeists of all ages can enjoy the whitewater features of the park.
Water Fun – Lake Cascade – Tamarack Waterfront Cabana
The Waterfront Cabana is Tamarack’s activity outfitter for water sports on Lake Cascade. You can take a relaxing ride on a kayak, enjoy a trip on a stand-up paddle board, or rent a motorized pontoon boat or wake boat. From sailing to surfing, we have your Lake Activities covered.
Fishing – Lake or River
With many lakes and rivers in our surrounding area, fishing is a popular activity for the entire family. With native species like Trout and Perch as well as Bass and Crappie, you can be sure the memories created will last a lifetime. Hiking – Tamarack Resort Trails
Access the trails from the end of Discovery Road to experience meadow and lake views. Take off from the base area or the top of Whitewater Drive to access more advanced forested trails. Hike along single track trails, double track trails for 4×4 roads.
Hiking – Boise National Forest
The Boise National Forest hosts over 1200 miles of trails through areas of steep mountains, fast rivers and dense forests. All types of users will enjoy the trails with every season.

With many courses within a 30 minute drive, and one coming soon to the resort, finding the perfect place to stretch your legs and hit the links will be no problem at all.

OHV Trail Riding – Boise National Forest – Cascade Ranger District Office
The Boise National Forest offers may miles of OHV travel trails. Many routes are located near the campgrounds. The open trails, roads and areas are identified on the Motor Vehicle Use Maps.
